That Ole’ Church Hall
Danette Key

I can still recall
That ole’ church hall
Where reverence was so sweet!
Where voices singing,
And big bells ringing,
Made us forget the heat!

It stood so tall
Not moving at all,
When winds began to blow.
We all prayed
And it stayed
Through wind & rain & snow!

Now time has passed,
My, how it last!
Though cracked are all the towers,
The wall lingers on
And brings us a song,
In that ole’ church hall of ours.
